How to open and install DLL files

As a rule, DLL files are used in the background by various Windows programs, so you do not need to open them manually. To open and view a DLL file on your Windows PC anyway, you need a decompiler that can read the source code it contains.

1. If you have downloaded a DLL file from the Internet, it is usually available as a ZIP file and must first be unpacked.
2. To install the DLL file afterwards, please copy it to the cache and paste it in the path "C:\Windows\System".
3. Restart your computer and then open the Run dialog by pressing the key combination of "Windows key" + "R".
4. There, enter the command "cmd" to open the command prompt and register the DLL file by entering "regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\Name of the DLL file".
