FIFA: What is Team of the Week anyway? We explain

In FIFA Ultimate Team it's always about new, better player cards. These come in a variety of flavors, and especially important here is the Team of the Week selection. We explain to newcomers what it's all about.

The Team of the Week stands for the team of the week and is abbreviated as TOTW. In FIFA 21, it continues.

FIFA: Team of the Week always with in-form cards

In-form cards are the increases of the standard cards.

• These are based on the performances of the real role models.
• For example, if the real Lionel Messi delivers a particularly strong performance, there is a good chance that he will be included in the Team of the Week of the current FIFA title.
• The TOTW card is consequently even a bit stronger than the standard card.
• The cards are consequently correspondingly popular and valuable. You can draw the TOTW cards in packs; otherwise, you can also buy them in the auction house.
• It is clear, of course, that just the in-form cards of the superstars are partly astronomically expensive.
• It appears every week a new TOTW with 23 players each. This can then be drawn in packs for exactly one week, and exactly until the next TOTW appears.

Thanks to this system, the player and card hierarchy is constantly supplied with new dynamics. If you are lucky enough to draw a strong TOTW player early, you should think twice before keeping him or selling him for a big profit.
