Deutsche Post: Buying mobile stamps via app - now possible

Whoever needs a stamp no longer has to visit the nearest post office. It is now much more practical to do so via smartphone app. We summarize all the info.

The wait has been worth it: the mobile stamp by app has been announced for months.

Mobile postage by SMS is now a thing of the past, the modern variant has been available since the end of November 2020.

The DHL app required for this has been updated and renamed in the process and is now called "Post & DHL".

• In this you can buy the desired stamp and receive it in the form of a code that you write on the envelope.
• The familiar postage options are available to you, so for example, standard letter (0.80 euros), postcard (0.60 euros) or large letter (1.55 euros).
• A practical assistance offers the postage advisor in the app. With this you will always know which stamp you need.
• Payment is made via PayPal, direct debit or credit card. To note: Purchased stamps are valid for 14 days.
• Alternatively to the code, you can also buy the stamp as a PDF and print it yourself.
