Android: Do not disturb - how to enable the feature

With your cell phone you are always reachable, but this can also be annoying. Android has a special feature in store for this purpose. Read how to enable do-not-disturb mode.

With Android, you're always reachable - but only if you want to be.

Whether at work or in other situations, sometimes it's good not to be disturbed by your phone. This is more important today than ever, and Android knows it.

Android: How to enable Do Not Disturb mode

Follow these steps:
  1. Open "Notifications" in the "Settings".
  2. There you will see the option "Do Not Disturb", which you can activate via slider.
A new icon will appear at the top of the notification bar, always reminding you that you are currently unavailable. This is exactly what the Do Not Disturb mode takes care of: All calls and notifications are muted. Callers will thus not receive a busy signal, but you yourself will not hear anything about the call.
