EM 2021: All groups at a glance

The EM 2021 is slowly casting its shadow. Although it is not in the media spotlight as the tournaments before, high viewer numbers are nevertheless pre-programmed. We give an overview of the groups.

All the title holders: the German team can expect a hot group phase.

The European Championship 2021 will start with six groups, in which four teams will compete against each other. These 24 nations in total will thus play out the future title holder among themselves.

These are the groups of the European Championship 2021

The draw for the European Championship 2021, which begins on June 11, 2021, resulted in the following groups:

• Group A: Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, Wales
• Group B: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Russia
• Group C: Austria, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Ukraine
• Group D: Croatia, Czech Republic, England, Scotland
• Group E: Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden
• Group F: France, Germany, Portugal, Hungary

For the DFB team, it will be doubly explosive, as coach Jogi Löw's team will already face both the reigning world champion (France, 2018) and the last European champion (Portugal, 2016) in the group stage. The safely scheduled three points against Hungary are therefore all the more important.
