Fonts for Photoscape - how to get new fonts

If you don't like the fonts in Photoscape or if you want a larger selection, it is necessary to install new fonts. However, this is not possible directly in the program, but only via the operating system. We explain the exact procedure in this guide.

With the help of the Photoscape program, you can not only edit images, but also add text to them. In this way, you can add headings or speech bubbles to your images, for example. The fonts available to you for this depend on which fonts you have installed on your Windows PC. This is because Photoscape doesn't have its own font folder, but falls back on the font folder that Windows uses.

How to install new fonts for Photoscape

If you need new fonts for use in Photoscape, it is not possible to download them into the program. Instead, it is necessary to search the Internet for True Type fonts compatible with Windows and add them to the appropriate system folder.

1. To get new fonts for Photoscape, first search the Internet for fonts that you like.
2. Once you have found a free font or purchased the license for a paid font, please download it to the desktop of your Windows PC.
3. Then unzip the downloaded font file and copy it to the Windows Fonts folder, which you can usually find under the path "C:Windows\Fonts".
4. Close the Windows Fonts folder again afterwards and start Photoscape to use the new fonts.
