Cyberpunk 2077: The three life paths at a glance

In Cyberpunk 2077 you play as V in any case. However, the exact design of the character is up to you - this applies to both the appearance and the life path, i.e. the background of the character.

From curb to skyline - or vice versa? Cyberpunk 2077 offers you three life paths.

The life paths are primarily for immersion, as V knows about certain topics depending on his background and can show this in dialogues. In addition, there are some side missions that are only available for the respective life path.

Cyberpunk 2077: These are the three life paths

Even before character creation, you have to decide on a background:

• Street Child: Growing up in the dark alleys of Night City, V is familiar with the rules of the streets from childhood on - gangs, crime and evil machinations included.
• Nomad: Night City is surrounded by a barren, ugly desert area called the Badlands. The inhabitants are restless and live in clans far away from the neon-colored big city, a permanent residence is temporary at best, because freedom means everything.
• Corporate: As a child of the upper class of the totalitarian, dystopian power structure in Night City, V has grown up with wealth and unlimited opportunities of the mega-corps.

These three very different backgrounds mean that you can experience Cyberpunk 2077 from very different perspectives.
