Cyberpunk 2077 postponed - new date and backgrounds
For years, Cyberpunk 2077 was expected with high voltage. The anticipation was all the greater in 2019 when the release date was set for April 16, 2020. This has long since ceased to be true, as the release has been postponed.
The cyberpunk genre, as explained in more detail here, is heavy in all forms of media. All the more gamers are looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077 - however, some patience is still necessary.Cyberpunk 2077: Release postponed to September
Here is all the info on the postponement:- The postponement was already announced by CD Projekt Red on 16. January 2020 announced: instead of April 16, the sci-fi RPG is now to be released on September 17, 2020 (see pre-order).
- The delay of a whole five months was justified by the fact that work on many details could not be completed as planned. The size of the setting Night City requires quite a bit of fine-tuning work.
- Generally, the game is already finished and playable from start to finish, but not yet to the extent bug-free and polished, as it should be for a AAA release.
- As a result of the postponement, Cyberpunk 2077 should actually become the hoped-for experience upon release, namely a state-of-the-art role-playing game that is visually, content-wise and dynamically convincing on all levels.
