Windows could not configure one or more system components

The error "Windows could not configure one or more system components" usually appears when updating an older Windows version to Windows 10. In some cases, the problem may also appear during a new installation of the operating system. However, you can fix the error yourself in a few steps.

This is what you can do if you get a Windows installation error

If you get the error "Windows could not configure one or more system components" while reinstalling or updating to Windows 10, it may be due to the .NET Framework.
  1. First, update Microsoft .NET Framework to the latest version. If this does not help, you need to disable the components of the framework.
  2. First press the Windows key and R to open "Run".
  3. Enter "optionalfeatures" in the text box and press the "Enter" key.
  4. Then you can uncheck all the boxes for each component of .NET Framework. In doing so, the boxes next to the entries must also not contain a square.
  5. Now you can confirm your settings with "OK" and restart the installation or update of Windows 10.
  6. The error is now fixed and the process is completed successfully.
If the installation of the operating system still does not work, this may be due to another problem. To solve the error, it is usually helpful to contact Microsoft customer service.
