Setting up Chromecast PC: How to do it

You can stream the screen of your PC to a TV with your Chromecast TV Stick. To set it up, you need either the Chromecast app for Android or for iOS. Note that on iOS, setup is only possible from version 10.7 (Lion).

Setting up Chromecast on PC not possible

You can stream content from your PC to your TV if you have already set up your Chromecast. However, the setup is only possible via mobile devices, i.e. Android or iOS.

Set up Chromecast on Android & iOS

To set up your Chromecast and put it into operation, proceed as follows:

1. Connect your Chromecast and install the Google Home app. You can find this for free in the Google Play Store if you are using an Android. On an iPhone, call the App Store from Apple.
2. Now make sure that your smartphone is connected to your WLAN.
3. Open the Google Home app and follow the instructions to set up your Chromecast.

Chromecast: Inhalte über den PC streamen

Ist Ihr Chromecast eingerichtet, können Sie von Ihrem PC aus Videos oder Ihren Desktop kabellos auf den Fernseher streamen.

1. Rufen Sie dafür Google Chrome auf und klicken Sie oben rechts auf die Menü-Schaltfläche.
2. Hier finden Sie nun die Option „Streamen“.
3. Nachdem Sie sie angeklickt haben, sucht Chrome nach Geräten. Ihr PC und Ihr Chromecast müssen sich im selben WLAN-Netzwerk befinden.
4. Klicken Sie das Gerät an und wählen Sie unter „Quellen“, was Sie übertragen wollen.
