Conan Exiles: Making pickaxes - how it works

You won't get far in Conan Exiles without good tools. And the higher your level, the better options you have. The most popular tool of all is probably the pickaxe, about which you can get all the info here.

The pickaxe is one of the conveniences of higher levels.

When cutting down trees with an axe you get branches as a by-product, while with a pickaxe you get bark. Thanks to the pickaxe and some tips, you no longer have to choose when searching for resources in Conan Exiles.

Conan Exiles: Pickaxe better than axe and pick

The great advantage of the pickaxe is that it combines two tools, namely pickaxe and axe. This is doubly practical:

• You carry less weight around with you.
• The pickaxe is extremely efficient: With it you get from trees besides wood also bark, branches and resin, so everything that a tree can give.
• When mining stones you get additional crystals.
• To build the pickaxe, by the way, you need steel as the most important material: 20 ingots. This you can make yourself, which is relatively costly, or you loot killed NPCs.
• In addition, you need 10 leather and 5 branches to make the pickaxe in Conan Exiles.

The talent to be able to build (and repair) the pickaxe is unlocked at level 43. The production of the pickaxe should then have top priority to speed up the work rate. Subsequently, a tool improvement is recommended to optimize the tool.
