Netflix: Change billing day - this is how it works

Netflix always bills you monthly, but you can now determine exactly when this happens. Our guide explains how you can change the billing day on the streaming service.

Matching your account balance: the billing day can be set individually at Netflix.

Normally, the billing cycle starts with the day you activate your Netflix account. From there on, billing continues at monthly intervals.

Netflix: How to change the billing day

If you want to shift the billing day, you can do it online:
  1. To do this, open the "Account" section. In the browser, you can call this directly with the URL netflix.com/YourAccount.
  2. There you will find the option "Change billing day".
  3. You will learn on which day of the month you are currently billed. Per selection box, you can set a new billing day.
  4. Select "Check and confirm". Thereupon you will be shown what amount for the period between the old and the new billing day will be debited once.
  5. Complete the process with "Confirm".
After the interim billing, it continues normally with the full monthly amount, once you have reached the new billing day.
