Tier scooter app: How to start rides at Tier

In order to use Tier's scooters, you must first download the associated app to your smartphone. With the help of this app, managing as well as registering and deregistering scooters is no problem. We explain how the app works here.

Tier: Set up and use the app for scooters

In order to rent a scooter from Tier, you need to use the app. First, you are required to specify a payment method.

1. You can decide whether you want to pay by credit card or by Paypal to rent the scooter.
2. In the first step, deposit one of the two payment methods and then switch back to the main menu of the app.
3. You can now see on the map where scooters are located and what battery level they have.
4. When you have selected a scooter, go to it.

Tier: Use the app to unlock the scooter

1. To identify the correct scooter, you can use the QR scanner at the bottom right of the app to scan the code on the scooter.
2. Then tap "Start ride" within the app.
