Returning PS4 games: How to get your money back

If you don't want a game you bought on the PlayStation 4 after all, you may be able to return it. There are some guidelines that determine the content and circumstances under which a return is possible.

Return PS4 games - These are the requirements

Cancellation is only possible if certain cancellation conditions are met:

• You can only return digital PS4 games if the purchased game has not yet been downloaded, i.e. not yet played. You should therefore disable the automatic download of new games to be on the safe side.
• Consumables such as FIFA packs will open automatically the next time you start the corresponding game. Before that, you can also return this content.
• Pre-orders and promotions can also be canceled if you have not yet downloaded the content.
• Generally, the return of games is only possible if you cancel within 14 days after purchase.
• A recharge through credit cards for PSN credit can not be canceled.
• Depending on the payment method, you get the amount refunded or credited as credit to your PlayStation account.

How to cancel purchases from PlayStation Store

Returning the game is done in a few steps.

1. Open Sony's cancellation page and copy the suggested cancellation form from the page.
