Old computer games released before the development of Windows 7 usually do not automatically launch on computers with a newer operating system. So that the games can still be played under Windows 7, it is necessary to start them in Windows compatibility mode.- To do this, navigate to the program directory on your PC and look for the start file of the game there.
- Right-click on the start file of the game and select the "Properties" option from the context menu that opens. If you have created a desktop shortcut for the game, the properties can alternatively be accessed by right-clicking on the shortcut.
- In the properties, switch to the "Compatibility" tab and place a check mark next to the entry "Run program in compatibility mode for".
- From the list of operating systems displayed, then select the one for which the game was developed and save the changes made by clicking "OK".
