If you have purchased antivirus software from Norton for your PC or laptop, the Norton Toolbar extension for the browser is also automatically installed when you install the product. If the toolbar is activated, it will not only inform you whether a visited website is safe, but will also offer you its own search engine and the possibility to manage your login data.

How to delete Norton Toolbar

Since Norton Toolbar is an integral part of Norton Security, you cannot remove it from your computer in isolation. It is only possible if you completely uninstall your Norton product. If you do not want to do that, in order not to lose the protection for your computer, your only option is to disable the toolbar. The procedure required for this depends on the browser you are using.

1. If you are using Internet Explorer, please right-click on the menu bar and select "Disable" under "Norton Security Toolbar".
2. Use the Norton Toolbar in Safari, its disabling is possible under "View" > "Customize Toolbar".
3. To disable the Norton Toolbar in Chrome, please first click on the menu icon, navigate to "Tools" > "Extensions" and tap next to the Norton Toolbar entry on the "trash icon".
