Path of Exile appeared back in 2013 as a designated Diablo competitor. But despite this age, the ARPG is really taking off at the moment. For potential beginners, we therefore present the playable classes.

In Path of Exile, you decide on one of seven classes and later on a specialization.

With the release of the Legion update in June 2019, Path of Exile reached new heights. Rising popularity is attracting new players, and class choice is crucial.

Path of Exile: Classes in typical RPG fashion

In Path of Exile, you initially choose one of seven base classes:

• Noble Daughter: special hybrid class with balanced attributes
• Witch: pure magic ranged class
• Marauder: melee class that can take a lot of damage thanks to tank properties
• Duellist: Melee fighter, optionally very offensive with two-handed weapon or two one-handed weapons plus sword and shield for more defense
• Templar: Hybrid of melee and supporting magic thanks to totems
• Ranger: Sniper class with ranged focus
• Shadow: Assassin who strikes from stealth

At level 33, you get to choose one of three specializations in the form of Ascendants - except for the Noble's Daughter, who does not have this choice. Mit dem Fortschritt bekommt die Klasse somit weitere Komplexität, was für individuelle Builds sorgt.
