Path of Exile: Buy points - these are the prices

Path of Exile is basically free-to-play and finances itself through in-game microtransactions. For these you need the internal currency and our guide explains what the points cost and where you can buy them.

Purchasable items do not affect your combat strength, but only bring practical advantages or cosmetic improvements.

Path of Exile: Buying points - here's how and how much it costs

To buy points in the game, follow these steps:

1. Press the "M" key in the game to open the microtransaction store.
2. In the top left corner you will find the green "Buy points" button.

There you can see the prices:

• 50 points cost 4.40 euros.
• 100 points are exactly twice as expensive with 8.80 euros.
• For 200 points are 17.60 euros.

With larger points packages, you thus get no discount. In addition, there are also packages in which points are available together with in-game items, such as skins for weapons or armor. To classify how much points are needed for shopping trips, here are some examples:

• Six additional compartments for your crate cost 200 points (i.e. 17.60 euros).
• The cheapest pets are already available for 20 points, the expensive ones cost over 300 points.
• Skill effects usually cost about 110 to 130 points.

So it is quite possible to spend good money in Path of Exile, although the game is actually free. After all, the money flows to the developers, who constantly improve the game and add new content. Thus, in an indirect way, buyers get added value for their spending, if they remain loyal to the game.
