Star Citizen: Drake Caterpillar - this is the transport giant

In the universe of Star Citizen, Drake Interplanetary is considered the preferred manufacturer of ships for space pirates and other shadowy creatures. We introduce the Caterpillar, a real colossus.

The Caterpillar is seen relatively often and is one of the best-known ships in Star Citizen. The latter is not least due to its appearance, as it is as unmissable as it is unmistakable.

The Caterpillar is officially designated as a transport ship. The characteristics confirm this:

• Her cargo capacity is 576 SCU.
• This huge volume is equally suitable for trading as well as for transporting ground vehicles or task forces.
• Thanks to the elongated design, the Caterpillar is simply structured despite its size of 111.50 meters. Caterpillar means "caterpillar" and this name says it all. The danger of losing orientation and getting lost does not exist.
• Even practical are the many side doors, as they facilitate access.
• A crew of up to four people can work in the Caterpillar.
• Logically, the Caterpillar is not a fast, agile ship. It is large and robust and is excellent for making money.

With a purchase price of just under 320 euros, it is in the middle price range of Star Citizen's ships. Nevertheless, it is of course a lot of money: the purchase is only recommended if you already know the game and are sure you want to have the Caterpillar. Otherwise, to be on the safe side, we advise waiting for the next Fly Free event and trying out the Caterpillar for free.
