Dyson Sphere Program: This is Icarus - and here's how to improve him

One of the special features of Dyson Sphere Program is the game character: you control Icarus, a mech, and explore planets and galaxy with him. We explain how you can upgrade the mech even further.

What is not immediately obvious to many newcomers to Dyson Sphere Program: In the research menu, which you can open with "T", there is a second tab at the top.

Dyson Sphere Program: How to perform Icarus upgrades

This tab is called "Upgrades" and contains quite a few improvement options for Icarus:

• For example, a larger battery capacity and faster charging are highly recommended.
• Also the increase in movement speed and more space in the inventory are almost mandatory.
• At a certain point, it is virtually mandatory to unlock the sailing ability and later the warp mode. Only with it you can namely leave to other planets.

For most upgrades you need Matrix Cubes, just like for regular research so. Since you need more and better Cubes with each further upgrade level, you will notice early on why it is so important to automate Cube production and set it to large quantities.
