Google One: Prices and info on the new model

Google Drive is one of the most frequently used clouds in the world because of the link to the Google account. With Google One, there is now a new variant. We explain what it is all about.

Google One is supposed to fix it: The battle for paying cloud users is coming to a head.

Google One: Price per storage becomes much more attractive

Google One was first unveiled in May 2018. But it was not until the beginning of October 2018 that the market launch in Germany took place. The free Google Drive is still available with exactly the same functions. Under the name Google One, however, the paid storage variants are now combined.
  • The demarcation between free storage and paid service should thus be made clearer.
  • In the course of this change, the tariff models have also been revised. 100 GB costs 1.99 euros per month or 19.99 euros per year, for 200 GB it is 2.99 euros monthly or 29.99 euros annually.
  • The storage plan, which includes 2 TB, you get for 9.99 euros per month or 99.99 euros per year.
  • The largest storage plan again includes 10 TB and costs 99.99 euros per month.
This makes Google One a good deal cheaper than the previous paid levels of Google Drive. For those who get by with 15 GB and do not need other features besides cloud storage, nothing will change, as the basic conditions of the free Google Drive have not changed.
