How can I set the time on Fitbit?

In order to correctly record your workout with the Fitbit, it is important that the time on the fitness tracker is set correctly. We'll show you how to make sure the time display is correct and what other setting options are available here.

Fitbit: How to set the time correctly

Normally, the time on the Fitbit is automatically set correctly when you sync the fitness tracker with your smartphone. If the display of the time is still wrong, for example, because you are in a different time zone, you can update this yourself.
  1. If you have an iPhone, please open the Fitbit app and switch to the "Today" tab.
  2. Then navigate to "Your profile picture" > "Advanced settings" and uncheck the "Set automatically" option under "Time zone" to set it manually instead.
  3. Using an Android device, navigate to "Today" > "Your Profile Picture" > "Advanced Settings" in the Fitbit app and turn off the "Set Automatically" option.
  4. Tap "Select Time Zone" afterwards, re-set the time zone and sync the phone and the Fitbit.

To change the display format of the time on the Fitbit

In addition to changing the time, you can also change the format used for the display. To switch between the 12-hour and 24-hour formats, please go to the "fitbit.com" page in the browser, log in and open the settings by clicking on the "gear icon". In the settings, then go to "Personal data" > "Advanced settings" > "Display time" and select a format. Now still click on "Send" and synchronize your Fitbit.
