iPhone shortcuts - these shortcuts you should know

You can use a shortcut to complete one or more tasks faster. These consist of individual actions that you can combine with each other. There are already various shortcuts on the iPhone. You can also create your own using the Shortcuts app. With automations, these can also be triggered via events.

How shortcuts work on the iPhone

With the help of shortcuts, you can complete various tasks faster on the iPhone. This includes, for example, automatically retrieving the route to an event in the calendar. If you want to store your own shortcuts in addition to the existing ones, this is possible via the Shortcuts app. Here you need to specify actions that make up a shortcut.

1. In the shortcuts app you will also find a gallery where you can select and add already finished commands.
2. If you want to create a command yourself, open the app and tap on the icon with the four rectangles to open the library.
3. Tap on the "Plus" in the upper right corner to create a shortcut.
4. Here you can now select actions that go into the command. Via drag & drop you can change the order of the actions.
5. With the help of the curvy arrow icons, you can also repeat or revoke a step. About the "X" you delete an action.
6. Press "Play" to test the shortcut. About "Done" you confirm the selection.
