LG G8S: Technical specifications - what the smartphone can do

The smartphone G8S from LG has a wide range of functions and offers some new gadgets. So that you know exactly what you're getting into and don't buy a pig in a poke, we've summarized all the technical data for you.

What can the LG G8S really do?

The LG G8S uses a TOF front camera. This is an infrared camera that can measure distances and is thus used for face recognition. For this camera, the phone has a screen cutout at the top edge, but it does not bother much.

1. Thanks to the TOF camera, there are two new features: You can lock and unlock the smartphone via Hand ID or Face ID, respectively.
2. On the back is a triple camera, which consists of an ultra-wide-angle camera with 13 MP, a standard lens with 12 MP and a dual optical telephoto zoom.
3. The case is slightly thicker than the competition, but still offers a Full HD+ display with 204 ppi.
4. The Snapdragon 855 was installed as the processor, and in addition 6 GB RAM. For photos, videos and other media, 126 GB of internal storage is available, which can be expanded by up to two TB with an SD card if necessary.
5. The housing of the G8S is waterproof, furthermore, the smartphone can be charged wirelessly.
