Trello vs. Asana: These differences exist

With Trello you can organize projects and tasks particularly efficiently. Asana is an equally worthy alternative that has many similarities with Trello, but also presents differences. Both options offer many functions even in the free version. Find out how the applications differ here.

How do Trello and Asana work?

While Trello focuses on the Kanban methodology, Asana relies on a classic setup. Trello uses so-called boxes, in which you collect individual tasks in the form of a card. You can attach files and notes to the cards. All activities are automatically documented in Trello's comment bar. Asana works similarly, but the layout for an open project is displayed in the form of a to-do list. In each project, you have a calendar and a comment feature, which are great for working in groups.

Where do the free versions of Trello and Asana differ?

Asana is a worthy alternative to Trello, even if both options have their advantages and disadvantages.
  • In the basic version, Asana comes up trumps with a calendar within a project; with Trello, task management via cards is a bit clearer.
