Reinstall Android - here's how to do it

Android is an operating system that runs on a great many devices these days. You may want to completely reinstall Android so that you can fix a bug or sell the device. Generally, reinstalling is not difficult and can be done in a few steps.

How to reinstall Android?

Normally, you can simply reset Android to factory settings. However, there are always cases where it makes sense to play a completely new Android on the device, for example, if you want to use a variation of Android. In most cases, you have to flash the device, i.e. reload the entire operating system. But this does not work for all devices, because you can not unlock the bootloader on every device.
  1. You need Fastboot or the entire Android Studio.
  2. The second thing you need is an image of the software you want to install. You must further enable the developer options.
  3. Disable the OEM Unlock by tapping the build number seven times under "About this phone" and then go to "Settings".
  4. Now boot the device in bootloader mode and connect it to your PC.
  5. Use "Shift + right click" to open a shell in the fastboot folder.
