As is well known, costs in car sharing depend on the price per minute of the vehicle. This is precisely where the Pass25 and Pass50 come in.

SHARE NOW: Pass25 and Pass50 - what do they cost and what are the advantages?

The business model of the two passes is similar to the principle of the BahnCard: you pay a fixed amount and receive discounted conditions for booking.

• The Pass25 costs 19.99 euros per month, in return you pay 25 percent less rental fees.
• The Pass50 works analogously: It costs 89.99 euros per month, the rental discount is 50 percent.
• The total cost of special rates such as the 20-minute rental is lower with Pass.
• Discounts on hourly and daily rates do not exist, the same applies to all additional fees.

Whether one of these models is worthwhile for you, is consequently only a question of calculation. This is based on your estimated usage time for the coming month. For this purpose, an example calculation: a regular minute price of 30 cents is reduced with the Pass25 to 22.5 cents, so the saving is 7.5 cents per minute. The cost of 19.99 euros is recouped after around 267 minutes of rental time, so the more expensive Pass50 is only worthwhile after even more rental minutes. The two models are therefore less interesting for occasional and low-price drivers, but even more so for regular customers.
