How to cut music with Windows Movie Maker

Once you know how to cut songs properly with Movie Maker, you can work quickly and effectively.
  1. First, open the program and select the "Add Videos and Photos" section.
  2. Now you can activate the "Add Music" button and click it to do so.
  3. Decide on the songs you want to edit. For this, you need to make the appropriate selection in your directory. In doing so, you can also select several songs, which you then edit in the appropriate order.
  4. If you are dissatisfied with the order, you can also move the titles again and again as desired and additionally design the transitions.
  5. Once you are done with the editing, save the music file. To do this, first click on the "File" button and then on "Save movie".
  6. Now decide on the preferred video format and save the file on your PC or laptop.

A major advantage of Windows Movie Maker is that you can access the program free of charge. However, the possibilities are limited. For example, you can only edit music in MP3, PCM and AAC formats. You can save your projects only as videos, which means that not all devices can play them.
