Total War - Three Kingdoms: System requirements check

The latest part of the Total War series does everything right. Besides the graphics, diplomacy, economy and AI are a clear improvement over the predecessors. We show the system requirements.

Total War - Three Kingdoms runs even on weak computers, but only in a very limited way.

In Total War: Three Kingdoms, you're off to China, to a historical era that went down in history as the time of the Three Kingdoms.

Total War - Three Kingdoms: System requirements with a wide range

Your PC should at least meet these requirements:
  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo (3 GHz)
  • Graphics card: Geforce GTX 650 Ti (1 GB) / AMD Radeon HD 7850
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
The recommended requirements are:
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-6600 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
  • Graphics card: GeForce GTX 970 / AMD R9 Fury
  • Working memory: 8 GB RAM
On the hard drive, the game requires a whole 60 GB. Apart from that, it is noticeable that the range between the minimum and recommended requirements is very wide - given the graphical splendor Total War is capable of, this means huge trade-offs with a PC at the lower end.Minimalists may find this sufficient, but most gamers will not. For high settings with a constant frame rate beyond 60, even high-end components are required: A GeForce RTX 2060 and an Intel Core-i7 8700K are then recommended. Thus, the officially low minimum requirements should be taken with a grain of salt.
