Monster Hunter World: Sending SOS signs - how it works

The Iceborne expansion has brought Monster Hunter World many newcomers. To turn solo hunts into multiplayer adventures, SOS glow signs are an important tool. We explain how it works.

Whether it's a story mission, investigation or expedition, you can call for support at any time using SOS.

Monster Hunter World: How to use SOS beacons

When you go on a hunt alone, you can offer other players to join you. This goes via SOS light sign and is basically possible in every phase of the battle:

1. Open the menu and there the second tab "Quest".
2. There you will see the option to fire an SOS sign.

The sign is fired directly, so that your hunt is visible to other players. You can specify in the options whether you want to accept all requests automatically or confirm them manually.With automatic confirmation, the first (up to) three players who respond to your SOS will enter your hunt - this is convenient and goes the fastest. With manual acceptance, you can see beforehand what hunter rank the players have, even a look at their equipment is possible. Which variant is best depends not least on the difficulty of the hunt.
