Millions of players use Steam every day. Communication via headset is very popular and Steam provides a suitable solution with the new voice chat. To start a voice chat in Steam is quite simple:- Open the Steam client on your PC and click on "Friends & Chat" at the bottom right to get to your friends list.
- Make a right-click on the contact you want to talk to via voice chat and then select the option "Start voice chat" from the context menu.
- Alternatively, you can also start a chat by clicking on the microphone icon in a speech bubble at the bottom right.
- Now your counterpart has to confirm the request by clicking on "Join" to participate in the voice chat.
