How to share audiobooks from your Audible library
If you want to share an audiobook from your Audible library, it works via the Audible app.
- Open the Audible app on your smartphone.
- Select an audiobook in the library and tap the three-dot icon next to the title.
- Tap "Send audiobook" in the menu and select what you want to send the book through.
The recipient doesn't have to do anything more than click on the link you sent and log in to Audible with their account. The audiobook is then automatically added to the library. However, there is a small catch: only the first audiobook you share with someone is free. If you try to share another audiobook with the same recipient, they will only receive a recommendation for the book and will have to buy it themselves from the Audible store.
Enable family sharing: How it works
If you want to share your entire library, it works with the help of family sharing. As with Netflix, Audible allows multiple people to log in to the account at the same time. You also have the option of downloading audiobooks in MP3 format, making them available offline on your smartphone.
