Destiny 2 Crossplay - is it possible?

Destiny 2 is an online multiplayer shooter where you compete with your friends in an open world. The game came out in 2017 on multiple platforms. Since then, the question has arisen whether crossplay, i.e. playing together across different platforms, is also possible.

Will there be cross-platform play for Destiny 2?

Destiny 2 came out for multiple platforms. As with any online multiplayer, players want cross-platform play. This is especially appropriate due to the large number of multiplayer modes.

1. At the beginning of the game's release, there was no crossplay. Thus, players could not play, for example, via the console with players on the PC.
2. In June 2018, a discussion has subsequently flared up, because the Xbox Vice-Chief asked for a cross-play for Destiny 2 on Twitter.
3. A consideration would be to follow the control of the player's request to compensate for the deficits between the control with controller or mouse / keyboard.
4. The discussion about a cross-play feature between consoles among themselves and the PC has already been going on for a very long time. Especially Microsoft would like to establish this feature. This has been shown especially with the cross-play introduction for Minecraft and Rocket League.
