If you see stripes on the display of your iPhone X, this is extremely annoying. If a software problem is the cause, however, even a restart can help. If the stripes still appear after the restart, you can try to fix the problem using iTunes.

1. To do this, first connect your device to your Mac or PC via USB cable and launch iTunes .
2. In iTunes, then click on the name of your iPhone X and check by clicking "Check for updates" whether there is an iOS update for the device.
3. If the iOS version of your iPhone X is up to date, you still have the option to perform a reset. For this, tap in iTunes on "Restore iPhone" and confirm your selection with "Restore".

If you continue to see stripes on your display, there is most likely a defect. If you do not dare to replace the display yourself, a repair by Apple is possible. Depending on whether your device is still under warranty or you have an Apple Care contract, there is no charge for replacing the display or a service fee of 29 Euros. If you have neither warranty nor an Apple Care contract, 311 euros will be due.
