On average, there is usually talk of 80 to 100 ml per tire. The deviations depending on the tire dimension, however, are significant:- So a narrow road bike tire (25 mm wide) already gets along with less than 50 ml.
- A mountain bike tire with 29 inches and 2.6 inches wide, on the other hand, requires more than 100 ml, even values up to 150 ml are not uncommon.
- The other tires settle accordingly in between. A mountain bike tire with 27.5 inches and 2.3 inch width requires around the 100 to 120 ml, the tires of a gravel bike are well served with under 100 ml each.
