Android Wear is a direct attack on the Apple Watch. However, as with the Nexus smartphones, Google is relying on a different strategy for the smart watches: by collaborating with watch manufacturers like Fossil and tech brands like Sony and Huawei, Google doesn't have to produce the smartwatches itself. The interface to the Android operating system is the common denominator here. As a result, a range of more than 40 models is already available to you to date.

The different variants provide further variety, as does the option of refreshing the look with new wristbands. The functionality does not change as a result: smartwatches take over the tasks of the popular fitness tracker and go even beyond. Because communication also takes place via the watch as soon as it has been paired with an Android device.
