Error 0x80004005 - how to fix it

The error 0x80004005 can occur in different situations on your computer. However, most of the time it is due to a recently installed update. In this case, contact support or undo the update.

1. If the error occurs when you try to open a shared folder, then the error is due to User Account Control. In this case, you need to make a change in the registry. Make a backup of your system before, however, to restore your operating system in an emergency.
