BahnBonus: How to collect points - and how to redeem them

Free travel or a bonus in kind? You can redeem your BahnBonus points in very different ways.

Bonus programs are common in all areas of commerce. With its own program called BahnBonus, the railroad wants to reward its customers.

BahnBonus: Collect and spend points - this is how it works

First in a registration with BahnBonus necessary. This is possible both with and without BahnCard, on this page.

• New customers get an upgrade for 1st class for one trip.
• Points you collect not only by ticket purchases directly from the railroad, but also with program partners such as Flinkster, Call a Bike and numerous hotels such as Mercure and car rental companies such as Europcar.
• If you have a BahnCard with credit card function, you also collect points for BahnBonus by using them.

The collected points are valid for three years. The redemption is possible in various ways; for rail customers are primarily interesting free trips or upgrades, but also the on-board catering is an option, just like non-cash rewards.And: If you collect 2,000 points in twelve months, you get the status BahnComfort, which allows you, for example, access to the DB Lounges.
