Change PayPal bank account

If you have a new bank account, there are a few ways to do so. This includes changing your bank account details at PayPal. How you can easily change your bank account at PayPal, you will learn in this guide.

Change bank details: here's how

You can change the bank details you have deposited with PayPal directly via PayPal's website or remove them altogether.

1. Open PayPal's official website and log in with your mail address and secure password.
2. Now click on "E-exchange".
3. You will now be shown your deposited bank accounts. Click on the bank account you want to edit or remove.
4. Then select "Remove".
5. Followed by this, you can change the bank account in the settings under "Bank details > Add bank account".

Bank account can not be removed

For example, if a merchant should debit money from you and this has not yet happened, you can not change your bank account. So you may have to cancel the payment first:

1. Log in to PayPal with your credentials.
2. Open the settings by clicking on the gear icon in the top right corner and switch to "Payments".
3. Follow this by clicking on "Manage payments in direct debit". If the payment you are looking for cannot be found here, click on "Plans for PayPal direct debit payments".
4. You can then click on the merchant's name and select "Cancel".

Follow the same procedure as described in the section above to change your bank details. Then you can commission the debit agreement again with the correct data.
