Google Play: change account - how to change your account

To shop in the Play Store and download apps to your mobile device, you need to be signed in to the store with one account. If you have multiple Google accounts, we'll show you how to change your account on your PC and smartphone here.

Google Play: How to change your account on your mobile device

If you have more than one Google account, you can use any of them to sign in to the Play Store. However, in order for your account to be available in the Play Store, it is necessary for you to add it on your mobile device beforehand.
  1. To change which account you are using, please first open the "Settings" on your Android smartphone.
  2. Navigate to "Accounts" > "Add Account" > "Google" in the settings and enter the email address and password of the account.
  3. On your mobile device, then switch to the Play Store app and tap the menu icon in the top left corner.
  4. Tap the down arrow next to the email address displayed and select the Google account you want to use from the list.

Making the account change in the browser

Instead of directly on the mobile device, changing the account you use in Google Play is also possible through the browser. To change your account in this way, please go to the "play.google.com" website on your PC or laptop. Then click on your profile picture in the top right corner and choose one from the list of available accounts.
