Deleting your PSN account - how to close your account

To use the various services of the Playstation Network (PSN), you need a PSN account. However, if you no longer want to use the service, you can either disconnect your PSN account from your PlayStation or delete the account via customer service.

How to delete your PSN account completely

You will have to initiate the closure of your PSN account via customer service, as you do not have the option to do so in the account settings.

• You can reach the support free of charge from Monday to Friday between 9:30 am to 7:30 pm at the number 06102 771 3001.
• Keep your login ID (email address), online ID, details of a recent transaction and the serial number of the console with which you opened the account.

Note that if you completely close your PSN account, all games purchased from the store and received through PlayStation Plus will also be irrevocably lost. If there is still PSN credit on the account, it will also be deleted and cannot be refunded. In addition, the online ID of the account cannot be reused, for example, to open a new account.

Disconnect PSN account from PlayStation

Alternatively to the complete closure, you can also remove your PSN account from the PlayStation 4 only.

1. To do this, start the PlayStation 4 and access the settings.
2. Switch to the "Account Management" category and select the "Logout" option.
3. Once you confirm your selection, the account will be removed from the PlayStation and you can log in with another PSN account.
