Samsung Galaxy S10: Rotate the screen - here's how it works

Depending on the application you are using on your device, you will need to use the smartphone in portrait or landscape mode to avoid any problems. Usually, you can have the display rotate automatically when you tilt or turn the Samsung Galaxy S10 sideways. You may need to enable the option.

How to rotate the screen of your Samsung Galaxy S10

If you want the screen of your Samsung Galaxy S10 to rotate automatically, you can enable or disable this option in two different ways. In addition, you can lock the screen format. This way, the orientation will not change when you tilt or rotate the smartphone to the side.
  1. To enable screen rotation, go to the smartphone's settings. To do this, click on the gear icon and then click on "Advanced Features". Under "Movements and gestures", you can then activate the corresponding option.
  2. It is quicker to do this via the status bar of your Samsung Galaxy S10. Drag this with two fingers from the top screen. Subsequently, you have two "buttons" to choose from: "Portrait" and "Rotate screen". With the former, it is possible to have the screen rotate automatically, so you do not have to worry about the alignment. With the option "Rotate screen", however, you fix the orientation and this will no longer be changed - even if you tilt the smartphone to the side or rotate it completely.
