Screen blurry - this is how you can easily remedy it

If you use a second screen on your PC or laptop, it can happen that the display on it is blurred. What reason there is for the blurred display and what options you have to correct it again, we explain here.

This is how you make a correction when the screen is blurry

The problem that the display on the screen is blurry often occurs when multiple screens are connected to the computer. This happens especially when the screens have different resolutions. If you open the app on one display and you then move it to the second screen with a different resolution, it will be blurred.
  1. If you have a PC with Windows 10 as the operating system, it is possible to fix the blurred display on the screen using the auto-correct feature.
  2. If the feature is not enabled on your computer, please open the search box, search for "Advanced scaling settings" and select "Fix blurred apps".
  3. Now, under "Correct scaling for apps", still enable the "Windows may try to correct apps with blurry display" option to use the feature.

Alternative way to fix the problem on Windows

If a blurry display notification appears on your main screen, you can alternatively enable auto-correction by first clicking "Yes, open settings" in the notification and then selecting "Apply". To always receive a notification when an app is blurred, navigate to "Start" > "Settings" > "System" > "Notifications and Actions" and turn on the "Display Settings" option.
