Football Manager 2020: How to deal with promises

You should not underestimate the relationship with your players in Football Manager 2020. The mood in the team can quickly become shaky.

Football Manager 2020: Keeping promises better

You can see all active promises under "Home" -> "Promises". These can be about very different topics:

• Some players are unhappy with their playing time and want to be loaned out.
• Players want a new, better contract.
• Players think the squad is too thin and demand reinforcements.

These (and other) topics will lead to promises on your part, if you announce an improvement in the dialogue. Each promise must be completed within a certain time window. If this does not happen, the player is disappointed. Important to know: Depending on the position in the team hierarchy, the player can transfer his frustration to his colleagues - in the worst case, you lose the support of the team and there is a threat of mutiny.This can possibly even contribute to your dismissal, if things are not going well in sporting terms at the moment anyway. The bad mood also affects the performance of the players. It is therefore advisable to fulfill the promises made - in return, you get all the happier players who deliver even better on the field.
