Datally: App helps monitor data volume for free

Data volume remains a key issue on the mobile Internet. Google's free app Datally made it easier and more effective for Android users to keep an eye on what data is being used, when and where.

Thanks to Datally, you can always keep a firm grip on your data volume.

Datally was based on the Triangle app, which was developed by Google. With the new name, it was also available in Germany for a while, but was discontinued again in 2019. Suitable alternatives with which you monitor your data volume are, for example:
  • My Data Manager
  • GlassWire: Data Usage Privacy.

Datally: App showed exact data consumption

Datally was free and could be downloaded directly from the AppStore. After that, you had a lot of handy features at your disposal, and it was very easy to use:
  • You could analyze exactly which app was responsible for which amount of data consumption.
  • With Datally, you could specify exactly which apps were not allowed to consume data on the go. This way you save a lot of volume.
  • The app gave you valuable tips on data usage based on the statistics.
  • Datally helped you find public Wi-Fi networks and log in to them. Thanks to this feature, you only use your mobile data volume as much as necessary.
Compared to most other apps that help with data consumption and overview, Datally was actually particularly well done. The app worked quickly and reliably, was easy to use and had very useful features.Even without the app, you can view data consumption. However, the apps mentioned above make it easier to get an overview.
