Sign out of Game Center - how to disable the gaming hub

If you use an Apple product, you can use Game Center to keep track of your gaming data. Game Center keeps track of all the games and achievements you've played so far on an iOS device.

How to log out of Game Center

You can use Game Center to view your own or your friends' high scores and game selections. If you don't want to do that, you can also disable Game Center.

1. Open the settings on your iOS device.
2. Scroll down the list until you find the "Game Center" entry and open the file.
3. You will now see the different settings options you have for Game Center.
4. Scroll until you find your Apple ID in the list.
5. Now press your Apple ID. You will see a pop-up window where you can select "Logout".
6. Now, no more games and scores will be held in Game Center.
7. Should you want to use this service again, you simply need to click on your Apple ID again. Then confirm that you want to "Sign In" again.

What are the consequences of signing out?

By signing out of Game Center, the games you play will no longer be stored. Your game saves will also no longer be recorded there. Some iOS games work with a rewards system designed to get you to interact with friends through Game Center. Access to these rewards will no longer be available when you log out.
