If you want to make sure that you haven't mistyped anything, you can simply have the WLAN password displayed on the iPhone X. This is the best way to display the password. Unlike previous iOS versions, however, it is no longer possible to read out the stored password.

Show Wi-Fi password on iPhone X when typing

If your iPhone X shows you that you typed wrong when connecting to Wi-Fi, you can display what you are actually typing. This makes it easier to check the password for typos. Simply tap the eye symbol on the right in the password line so that the digits and letters of the network key you entered are displayed instead of placeholders.

Can I read out the password?

You can no longer display the stored WLAN password on the iPhone X since iOS 11. The reasons for this mainly concern the security of your WLAN network. However, if you want to give the password to another person such as a guest, you can simply share your password.

1. Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on both devices and that you have saved each other in the contact list. In addition, the recipient of the password must also use iOS 11 or later.
2. Open the settings on the iPhone X and select the "WLAN" menu.
3. Now tap the WLAN network you want to share.
