MacBook backslash - how to find it on the keyboard
A backslash is mostly used, for example, to enter a URL in the address bar in your browser. If you use a MacBook keyboard, it is not obvious at first glance which key you can use to write it. If you still want to use a backslash, you need the appropriate combination.
How to find the backslash on a MacBook keyboard
On a "Windows" keyboard, you'll usually find the backslash on the "7". However, if you have a MacBook, then it may not be readily apparent which key you use to write the character on the computer. Backslashes are needed, for example, to enter Internet addresses in the address bar of your browser. But also in other moments it is useful to know how you can write the character on the keyboard.- To write a backslash, you need, as on a Windows keyboard, also the "7".
- About this, however, you can write several characters, which is why still a second key is needed to switch the function.
- First press and hold the "Alt" key on the keyboard. While holding this, also press the "Shift" key.
- Once you hold down both keys, press the "7".
