How Google Home helps you with a translation

Google's voice assistant understands numerous commands that you can use to get information or control other devices if you have them connected to Google Home. For some time now, the assistant has also offered an interpreter function. However, there are some points that you need to be aware of.

1. In some third-party devices, the interpreter mode does not work. This is the case, for example, with the Google Assistant speaker Link 20 from JBL and the G3 from Onkyo. However, all Google Home speakers, smart displays, smartphones and tablets are compatible devices.
2. To have the device translate a conversation, first activate it with "OK Google".
3. Then tell the device in which language it should interpret. Dies erfolgt beispielsweise mit Sätzen wie „Ich brauche einen Spanisch-Dolmetscher“, „Dolmetsche für mich aus dem Deutschen ins Italienische“ oder einfach nur „Chinesisch Dolmetscher“.
4. Anschließend hören Sie ein Signalton und können anfangen zu sprechen. Dabei ist es egal, in welcher der beiden genannten Sprachen Sie beginnen.
5. Um den Modus wieder zu beenden, sagen Sie zum Beispiel „Stopp“ oder „Beenden“.
