Grounded: Innovative survival game now in Early Access

Due to its huge popularity, quite a few new titles appear in the survival genre every month. All the more remarkable are games that rely on an innovative setting. Among them is Grounded, which is now in Early Access.

New scale: in Grounded, you see the world from an unusual perspective.

Grounded went into Early Access on July 28, 2020. It didn't take long for the game to get a large fanbase behind it.

Grounded: Early Access with many features, release probably in 2021

The mechanics of Grounded correspond to the well-known norms in the survival genre. However, the setting is special:

• Your game character has been shrunk to ant size. The actually completely harmless environment, namely the garden of a suburban house, thus becomes a huge jungle full of dangers.
• Because of your size, you have to be on guard against enemies such as spiders, ants and aphids. You play in a first-person perspective.
• Consequently, you have to survive by collecting things like plant fibers, pebbles and dew drops to build items and a proper base. By science you unlock always new objects.
• The user interface is kept colorful and playful, but proves to be well thought out.
• As befits survival games, co-op multiplayer is possible.

The Early Access is available for Xbox and PC. Those who have subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate can try Grounded there for themselves at no additional cost. It is far from all content implemented, but already the existing game world provides directly for numerous hours of fun.
